Work where you matter.A Brief OverviewResponsible for the daily coordination of facility usage for services provided in the Aquatic Center in accordance with the philosophy and objectives established for the hospital and the department. Ensures adequate safety measures for all staff and patients using the center.
What you will do- Assists therapists in planning and scheduling use of pools for the therapeutic aquatic treatment of patients including community based programs.
- Assists in developing goals and objectives for programs with the Leader.
- Coordinates on-going training and orientation, including new safety techniques, equipment, and research findings to the staff and document appropriately.
- Assists the therapists as requested with patient care in the aquatic center.
- Assists in developing and maintaining quality improvement records related to safety techniques in the aquatic center.
- Establishes and maintains communications within the department and with other hospital departments.
- Maintains the aquatic facilities and equipment in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety of the patients and staff. Maintains quality and safety records and document and record maintenance schedules. Abide by all state and regulatory agency requirements.
- Assists in evaluating equipment and supply needs and support submission of purchasing/capital requests.
- Assists Therapy Leader in reviewing and/or revising Aquatic Center policies.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:- High School or GED Equivalent related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:- Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO) - Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) Upon Hire
- Lifeguarding - American Red Cross Upon Hire
- Water Safety Instructor - American Red Cross Upon Hire
